Oklahoma has a hidden wealth of locally grown vegetables and meats.

For a healthy tomorrow:

1. Go in with some friends to buy range feed beef or pork.

2. Grow some of your own fruits and vegetables. There's nothing like fresh sweet corn, tomatoes and strawberries.

3. Make your own mulch and compost. Maybe you can get some animal by product from the rancher who raises your beef.

4. Know where your meat and vegetables and eggs come from so you aren't supporting the CAFOs and industrial agribusiness.

This web site is also an excellent source for local meat, eggs, dairy, fruits and vegetables. Not all are grown organically or sustainably, but they are all local. Supporting local producers and processors gives us a voice as consumers.

Nuyaka Natural Farm

Community Supported Agriculture is a program where families purchase "shares" in the farm's harvest to come. Shares are purchased in the spring when farmers need income to get the season going. The program begins in May and goes until the last week of September. A variety of fruits, cut-flowers, herbs, and vegetables are harvested and distributed to the members each week throughout the growing season. Each share is designed to feed 2 adult eaters 5 veggie based meals per week. The harvest season spans over 22 weeks, with shares averaging $22.50 per week. We also offer an optional brown egg share at $3 per dozen per week.
